As you may have heard, I’ve started to offer Zentangle classes online (in case you missed it, here’s a link to my original announcement) – and I’m thrilled to say that it’s going wonderfully well and I’m absolutely loving it! Particularly delightful to me is the opportunity to expand my base to include individuals outside my geographic area – so far students from the US, Ireland, England, and Spain have joined in on my online classes! I’m planning to explore this new teaching platform further, both in the near future and after the current social distancing restrictions are lifted, so please stay tuned for further developments.
Along with teaching two online Introduction to Zentangle classes this past month, I’ve also been able to take advantage of the online format for my own learning. I started off by taking a “Unity Tile” class (created by fellow CZTs Julie Allison of Harmony Inspired Art and Romi Marks of Tangled Yogi), which was taught by Julie to a group of CZTs. Here’s my tile:
A short time later I was part of a “Unity Glow Tile” class taught by Romi, where I created this piece:
I’m so grateful to have had both of these opportunities, and excited to now be able to pay it forward by offering both classes, complimentary, to my existing students. I’ve already taught my first “Unity Tile” class to a group of nine students, and have a “Unity Glow Tile” session scheduled for later this month. Exciting stuff!
FYI, since the Unity Tile classes I’m offering are only open for registration to students who have taken Introduction to Zentangle with me, I have not been posting them on my website; rather, I have shared them in our Ten Thousand Tangles Creative Community Facebook Page, which is made up primarily of my existing students. If you have taken (or are interested in taking) any classes with me, I invite you to request membership so that you’ll be among the first to hear about new events and classes.
Before I move on with listing my upcoming class schedule, have a look at the beautiful work produced by my online students in April.
As of now I have three online Introduction to Zentangle> classes for new students scheduled for May and June.
(FYI, if you’re not available for one of my scheduled classes, would prefer individual online instruction, or want to host an online class for a group of friends, I’m there for you! Give me a shout and we’ll chat.)
Note: This class is a prerequisite to all other Zentangle classes.
$30 per person (online classes are offered at a reduced rate, with students responsible for obtaining their own supplies prior to class)
