Happy New Year (is it still ok to wish you a happy new year when we’re already 22 days in?)! I hope you’re all well and healthy and ready for a creative, fun, and fulfilling year – and I’m here to help with some inspiration by way of a selection of Zentangle and Zentangle-Inspired Art (ZIA) classes and Tangle Club gatherings which I’ve set up just for you. More on that in a bit! First, though, I’d like to share a quick update on my year so far and some of the beautiful work my students have been creating.

January Classes

It’s been a very busy start to 2024 in my little corner of the creative world. In addition to teaching two Introduction to Zentangle classes at Walkerville Artists Collective, I also worked with The Arts & Cultural Alliance of Windsor Essex County to bring my Tangled Labyrinth Zentangle-Inspired Art (ZIA) class to two groups of seniors as part of their “Life is Art” program. Feast your eyes on their lovely work!

New Website

In between teaching classes, I started out the year by rebuilding my website from the ground up – not a job I actually wanted to do, but unfortunately it had become a necessary exercise. After many long hours (and more than a little frustration and hair-pulling), I’m happy to say that I am now the proud owner of a fresh, clean new site. Hope you have a minute to look around and check things out!

Introduction to Zentangle for Newcomers

Calling all new students! You are invited to sign up for one of my Introduction to Zentangle classes in 2024. This introductory class is a prerequisite to all of my advanced “next level” classes, and is suitable for all ages and abilities. No previous artistic experience required – if you can write your name, you can create art with the Zentangle Method! Please click here for details of the sessions currently open for registration.

Returning Students

If you have previously completed Introduction to Zentangle with me (or another Certified Zentangle Teacher), you are welcome to sign up for any of my advanced “next level” classes currently open for registration. This year I will be offering a variety of classes for Introduction to Zentangle graduates, starting with two dates in February for my Tangled Labyrinth Zentangle®-Inspired Art (ZIA) Class. Please click here for details of the sessions currently open for registration.

Tangle Club

Back in the summer of 2023 I started up a new venture – monthly “Tangle Club” gatherings for my local students and Zentangle enthusiasts where we meet as a group to tangle, learn, share, and socialize. We’ve had a lot of fun together, and I’m excited to meet up again as we move forward with a new year! January’s Tangle Club theme is “All You Need is Love” – please check out the Facebook event for more details and registration information.

I’d love to see you soon, in class and/or at Tangle Club! In the meantime, please get in touch if you have any questions or would like further information.

I look forward to teaching and learning with you!
