In the summer of 2016 I successfully completed the 25th Zentangle Teacher Training Program held in Providence, Rhode Island. I learned the Zentangle® Method directly from its founders, Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas, and became a Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT®). It’s important to note that CZTs are the only individuals who are qualified and authorized by Zentangle, Inc. to offer Zentangle classes, and I am pleased and proud to count myself among their ranks.

Over the past several months I and my fellow CZTs have become increasingly concerned as we followed the development of an escalating situation, outside but seriously harmful to the Zentangle founders and community. Rather than go into the specifics here, I thought I would direct you to the Zentangle blog, where a post was released today outlining the situation, Zentangle Headquarters’ response, and their request to us as a community.

Zentangle Headquarters blog post – Seriously ? . . .

I am sharing their post in the hopes of spreading “the sunlight of awareness” (Rick’s words) to my readers and students, so that this situation might be resolved. I hope you will take some time to read their words, understand the situation, and offer your support to the Zentangle team and community.

Thank you.
