Note: Introduction to Zentangle provides the foundation for all of my Zentangle and Zentangle-Inspired Art (ZIA) offerings and is an ideal starting point for new students. While completion of an introductory class is recommended, students are welcome to register for any of my classes regardless of prior experience.
Zentangle art really comes alive with that final touch of adding your “shades of grey.” This Beyond Basics class will look into all the paths you can take with your pencil once the tangling is done. Students will learn tangles that have unique shading options and see how simple, subtle shading techniques can transform your work and totally change the integrity of your tile. This class will isolate the shading process and show students how a single graphite pencil has the ability to produce not just one colour but many. Students will learn to add tones from the barely there grey to the darkest charcoal and everything in between.
IN-PERSON classes are held at Artful3 Studio (#2-1156 Wyandotte Street East, Windsor, Ontario, Canada). Required supplies will be provided and/or available for use in class.
ONLINE classes are hosted on Zoom, with supply and login information sent via e-mail to registered students. Supplies are NOT included in the cost of online classes. Students will be given a full list of required supplies (including alternative options), and may opt to either provide their own or purchase supplies online from me for local (Windsor, Ontario) pickup.
